A New Moto Edge X30 is Coming Soon with an Under-Screen Camera

The Moto Edge X30 is Motorola’s flagship smartphone using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The Moto Edge X30 Under Screen Edition is a special edition model that will be released shortly. The phone will contain a selfie camera beneath the display, as the name suggests.

Chen Jin, the General Manager of Lenovo China’s Mobile Phone Business, revealed that the handset might be released in China in March. The executive also used Weibo to share a photo of a special edition Moto X30 retail packaging with an under-display camera sensor.

The handset, according to speculations, would boast a 6.7-inch OLED panel with 1080p resolution, a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and a 576Hz touch sample rate for responsiveness. It will also support HDR10+ and cover the whole DCI P3 colour gamut, resulting in impressive colour accuracy. The fingerprint sensor will be located underneath the screen.

The Edge X30 Under Screen Edition will offer up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

The phone will have a triple-camera arrangement, with the main sensor being 50 megapixels. It will run Android 12 and come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports rapid charging.
