Android 13 Will be Even More Stylish Than 12: Report

Android 12 included one of the most significant design updates in the company’s history. The new Material You design completely revamped the UI’s aesthetics with dynamic themes, wallpapers, and other features. Now, Android 13 will be released later this year, and it will be even more stylish than Android 12.

The information comes from Android Police, who obtained a leaked source code for the Android 13 Beta. Three new colour options for Android’s Dynamic Themes are revealed in this leaked code.

For those who are unaware, Dynamic Themes change everything based on your wallpaper, including the system colours, icon themes, widgets, and other accent colours. Android 13 will expand on it by adding more colour combinations for these one-of-a-kind themes.

The code indicates that there will be four more colour combinations: Tonal Spot, Vibrant, Expressive, and Spritz. Tonal Spot will be the wallpaper engine’s default colours, while Vibrant will have slight differences in supplementary accents. Expressive will feature a broader palette of colours that do not necessarily match the wallpaper but complement it well.

Finally, Spritz will be almost monochromatic, with muted and desaturated colours.

This feature will, as usual, be limited to Google Pixel phones at first, but it shouldn’t be long before it becomes available on custom ROMs. Android 13 Beta will be released later this year, and we will keep you updated as soon as we have official word.
