Gurman has confirmed the M3 chip’s release date as well as the fact that it will power four Macs in 2019. This will contain a new iMac, a 13-inch and a 15-inch MacBook Air. Additionally, a 12″ MacBook will be released the following year, but little is known about it yet because it is still in the early phases of development.

Apple is anticipated to unveil four additional M2 chipsets before the M3, notably the M2 Pro, M2 Max, M2 Ultra, and M2 Extreme. According to rumors, the M2 Extreme chipset—a real monster—is created by combining two M2 Ultra chips.

The Cupertino firm is also expected to introduce the world’s first M2 SoC-powered AR/MR headset. There will also be new M2 Max-powered MacBook Pro laptops in sizes 14″ and 16″. A Mac Pro with M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme processors could possibly be on the horizon.

Although the M3’s technical specifications are not yet known, TSMC’s 3nm technology is most likely its foundation.
