CEO of Careem Sets Up a Scholarship Endowment Fund at IBA

Mudassir Sheikha, Co-founder and CEO of Careem, the MENAP region’s everyday Super App, has partnered with the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi to provide scholarships to ten deserving students each year through the Sekha Endowment Fund.

The Fund would ensure that successful graduates in artificial intelligence, big data, computer science, and related emerging fields enter Pakistan’s talent pool and contribute to the country’s economic growth.

Mudassir Sheikha has been thanked by the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) for his assistance in the Institute’s mission of providing quality education to Pakistan’s youth. Every year, IBA supports approximately 30 percent of its student body through its financial assistance programme in order to ensure inclusivity.

Careem, a pioneer in the region’s ride-hailing economy, offers a slew of daily services that people require to get around, order things, and transfer money in a single unified smartphone app.
