The CES 2022 showcased some intelligent technology and astonishing breakthroughs that have the potential to improve our lives for the better. At CES this year, Intel, among other firms, finally lifted the veil on its mainstream Alder Lake chipset family. The business revealed the details of its upcoming limited edition 12th Generation KS series CPU.

This future CPU can boost one of its cores to a maximum clock speed of 5.5GHz, with an all-core boost of 5.2GHz. An all-core 5.2GHz boost suggests that the user will be able to experience this speed even while under full load.
During the unveiling, Intel also demonstrated a setup running Hitman 3, with the CPU keeping a consistent 5.2GHz clock speed on all of its 8 performance cores during the demo, and this one, like the ordinary Core i9-12900K, has a set of 8 power-efficient E-cores. However, no information on temperatures or power consumption was provided by the firm during the announcement.
The company also indicated that the CPU will initially be sold to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and will eventually be made available for retail purchase by end-users. However, no specific dates have been provided.

Intel’s ability to hit 5.2GHz on an all-core boost is both a true accomplishment and a reminder of how tough it is for chip manufacturers to offer meaningful clock speed advances, particularly given modern manufacturing limits.
