On Tuesday, the University of Karachi (KU) announced a brief extension of the deadline for online submission of applications for merit-based admissions till 2022.
According to Dr. Saima Akhtar, the KU Directorate Admissions In-Charge, the deadline, which was set to finish on December 28, 2021, has been extended by one day. She also asked first- and third-year hopefuls to submit their online applications by Wednesday, December 29. (today).
In a statement, Dr. Akhtar stated that the deadline was extended to accommodate a large number of students who had failed to submit their applications for various reasons.
In a separate announcement, the KU administration stated that registration forms and expenses for the annual convocations 2020 and 2021 will be accepted until January 14, 2022. Candidates can apply on the university’s website using the prescribed application forms.
The convocation will be held for students enrolled in the morning and evening programmes.
“Only students who have completed their MPhil/MS, LLM, Ph.D., MS (Surgery), MD (Medicine), DLitt/DSc in 2019 and onwards, as well as those who have completed their MPhil/MS, LLM, Ph.D., MS (Surgery), MD (Medicine), DLitt/DSc in 2019 and onwards, are eligible to attend the Convocation 2020 and 2021,” the notification added.
