New MacBook Air with M2 Chip Could Launch Next Week

Next week, on June 6, Apple will have its annual WWDC 2022 event, at which the Cupertino company will reveal the next significant software updates for its products. Official details on iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, and more topics are expected.

Apple is expected to reveal its next-generation MacBook Air with an M2 chip at the next WWDC event, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Despite indications of “realityOS” being detected in Apple’s source code earlier this year, Gurman believes it’s unlikely to see Apple’s AR headset at this presentation.

The M2 MacBook Air, on the other hand, has been the subject of numerous rumors and leaks in recent months. According to Gurman, Apple had planned to unveil the revamped laptop at the WWDC presentation, but supply chain concerns made it difficult. COVID-related closures in China are the source of these supply difficulties.
