For the past few months, the OnePlus 10 Pro has been generating headlines thanks to hardware advancements as well as a new and enhanced camera setup over its predecessors.
The recently revealed teaser image shows a slightly protruded camera island containing a triple camera array, as well as Hasselblad branding on the back panel. The collaboration between OnePlus and the Swedish camera manufacturer began with the OnePlus 9 last year, when the two firms collaborated on the colour tuning of the phone’s images, resulting in a setup that generated generally good results.
According to the company, the OnePlus 10 Pro will be a well-rounded flagship, with leaks pointing to an upgraded UI with a fresh design and some noteworthy hardware changes.
According to the teaser, the smartphone would have a curved display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the top-left corner. The OnePlus 10 Pro appears to be a significant design upgrade over the old OnePlus 9 Pro. On the back, there’s a matte finish and a camera island with a triple-camera arrangement and Hasselblad insignia.
The camera island reaches all the way into the side panel. The improved Hasselblad camera system includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. A 32MP selfie camera will be located on the front of the device.
In terms of display, the OnePlus 10 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The device will also be water and dust resistant to IP68 standards.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, which is projected to be 20% quicker than the Snapdragon 888 found in the OnePlus 9. The smartphone will be equipped with up to 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage.
This forthcoming smartphone, like the standard OnePlus 10, is slated to run the new UnifiedOS developed in conjunction with Oppo. It’s been described as a cross between OxygenOS and Oppo’s ColorOS, and it’ll be accessible on older OnePlus devices soon. A 5000mAh battery will power the device, with compatibility for 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
The phone will be available in four colour options: black, teal, purple, and silver. This OnePlus 10 Pro is set to make its debut in China on January 11th, but there is no word on when it will be available globally. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau earlier announced the phone’s release date in January in a Weibo tweet.
