OnePlus announced the Nord 2 5G, the successor to the original Nord phone, over a year ago. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is expected to be released soon. Core Edition is abbreviated as CE. The CE is a smaller variant of the Nord 2 5G that comes in different packaging.
The 6.43-inch AMOLED display on the OnePlus CE 2 5G will have the same Nord 2 90Hz refresh rate as the Nord 2. The battery has the same 65W SuperVOOC rapid charging technology as its predecessor and has a capacity of 4,500 mAh. What distinguishes the CE is its Dimensity 900 5G chipset. The processor includes internal storage and two RAM sizes: 6GB and 8GB.
The Nord CE is slightly smaller than its predecessor, measuring 7.8mm in length. Despite its small size, it has a headphone jack and a microSD card slot. With a triple camera module that combines a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP macro camera, the photography department is distinctive. For selfies, it sports a 16MP camera.
The Nord CE comes in two colour options: Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue. On the 22nd, the Nord CE will be available in India for USD 321 (€349/£299) for the base configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. On March 10th, the same editions will be available in Europe.
With only a few days till the launch, we’ll be able to see the full handset and discover how it works in the near future. Although the rumors and leaks appear promising, one should always keep in mind that the item may not perform as planned.
