Oppo barely entered the foldable phone market a month ago, but it’s already planning to expand. The Oppo Find N competes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, but we may also see a Z Flip competitor this year.
Oppo is reportedly working on its first-ever flip phone, according to Mukul Sharma of 91 Mobiles. This clamshell foldable’s name hasn’t been decided yet, but it won’t be part of the Oppo Find N line. The foldable is expected to debut in Q3 2022, with the Chinese manufacturer aiming for a lower pricing po int than the Z Flip 3.

Because they offer a tablet-like experience that folds in half, phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Oppo Find N are rather pricey. However, phones like the Z Flip 3 are merely conventional smartphones with a small footprint. This is why the Z Flip 3 is less expensive and sells so well all over the world.
That is just what Oppo is aiming for with its next clamshell, but at a lower price to appeal to a wider audience. However, because Oppo lacks Samsung’s brand recognition and value, it remains to be seen whether the Chinese company will be able to cut a piece of Samsung’s pie.
