PTCL Offers Free International Calls for Pakistanis Stranded In and Around War-Torn Ukraine

In a first for the industry, PTCL has offered ‘Free International Calling’ from Pakistan to Pakistanis displaced in war-torn Ukraine and adjacent countries.

Pakistanis can now contact their loved ones in the following countries for free thanks to the state-owned PTCL’s humanitarian gesture:

  • Hungary
  • Moldova
  • Romania
  • Ukraine
  • Poland
  • Slovakia

The action is in keeping with PTCL’s attempts to make it easier for Pakistanis to communicate with loved ones still stranded in Ukraine and nearby countries, awaiting assistance from the embassy.

On the 8th, 9th, and 10th of March 2022, all calls from PTCL landlines to the above-mentioned countries would be free of charge.

Furthermore, there is no usage cap, which means that clients can make as many calls as they like to the countries listed above on these days.

It’s worth noting that Pakistan’s embassy in many European nations is actively working to rescue Pakistanis who have been displaced as a result of the Ukraine conflict. However, given the gravity of the crisis and the large number of people who must be evacuated, the task is enormous and may take some time.

In such a scenario, PTCL stands with Pakistanis who are going through difficult times and is helping to ease the lives of their loved ones back home by providing completely free calling.
