This year, Samsung will release the next generation of Galaxy A phones. In 2022, we can expect successor models for the Galaxy A22, A32, A52, A72, and other models.

The successor models will, as expected, add 1 to the existing names while providing only minor enhancements. This information comes from @Shadow Leak on Twitter, and it includes full specifications for the Galaxy A23, A33, A53, and the Galaxy A73, the series’ highest-end model.

Note that the leak refers to 5G phone models, with each one being compared to its 5G predecessor.

Galaxy A23 5G

The displays of the third-generation Galaxy A series phones are the most significant advancements. The A23 5G replaces the TFT display with an IPS LCD with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 1080p. The rest of the specs are nearly identical, including a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging and a Dimensity 700 SoC. However, the main camera will be supplemented with an extra 8MP sensor, most likely an ultrawide lens.

Galaxy A33 5G

The A33 5G receives an even greater display improvement, featuring an AMOLED panel with a 1080p resolution this time. The other characteristics, such as the Dimensity 720 chip, a 64MP quad-camera array, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W rapid charging, will remain the same.

Despite being 2022 phones, the Galaxy A23 and A33 will boot Android 11 out of the box.

Galaxy A53 5G

The Snapdragon 750G SoC will be replaced with the Exynos 1200, and the 4,500 mAh battery will be replaced with a 5,000 mAh unit in the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. Everything else, including a 64MP quad-camera configuration, 25W fast charging, and a 120Hz 1080p AMOLED panel, will remain the same.

Galaxy A73 5G

The Galaxy A73 will be the only phone on the list to use a Qualcomm processor, namely the Snapdragon 750G. It will also be the first phone in the A series to feature a 108MP camera configuration, while the rest of the specs remain unchanged. A 120Hz AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W rapid charging are among the features.

Unlike their predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy A53 and A73 will come preloaded with Android 12.
