WhatsApp is Bringing Back an Old Feature on iPhone

In an attempt to revamp the camera UI, the Meta-owned instant messaging app eliminated the camera media bar in an earlier beta release. The platform, on the other hand, is now restoring the app’s original scrollable camera media bar.

In the most recent WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.4.0.72, the firm made some major improvements to the in-app camera, including the removal of the scrollable camera media bar. Due to high customer demand, the messaging platform is now restoring this adjustment, according to WABetaInfo. The bar was extremely handy because it allowed users to submit photographs and movies that had been saved to their camera roll recently.

Previous sources also claimed that WhatsApp is overhauling the UI for group audio calls, as well as adding a “Document Preview” feature.

Despite its popularity, the instant-messaging app does not intend to get complacent, and it keeps the competition on their toes by launching new features every few weeks that aim to not only improve the platform’s user experience, but also to give a more personalised experience for users.
