The global voice note player is a new feature that allows you to listen to voice notes even when you change chats.

The feature was made available to some beta testers on the iOS platform today, including WhatsApp Business beta.

The user is listening to a voice note from the chats list, as shown in the screenshot above. Even if you swipe back or open a different chat, the voice note you’re listening to will not be dismissed under the new feature.

If you are unable to hear the voice note from the chat list, your WhatsApp account is not yet ready to test the feature. So, all you have to do now is wait for a future update that will make the feature available to more users.

The WhatsApp beta for Android users is still in development, and there is no word on a release date.
