Xiaomi Launches Smart Cat Eye 1S Doorbell With Tricky Security Features

Xiaomi has released the Smart Cat Eye 1S, which is a video doorbell and door viewer in one device.

The Smart Cat Eye consists of two parts: a video doorbell and door viewer that can be installed on a door, and a separately attached tablet that can be mounted on the wall.

A 5-inch IPS screen and a 160° wide-angle camera with an F2.0 aperture and 1080p streaming are featured on the display.

Xiaomi employed four infrared sensors with a wavelength of 940 nm to make the doorbell work at night. Human detection and facial recognition are two more sophisticated capabilities that allow the user to see who is at the door.

The doorbell will notify the user if there is suspicious behavior outside the house or if a person is detected.

Xiaomi states that the doorbell has a voice-changing tool for the intercom as a safety feature. The doorbell can be used to initiate video calls, which can then be answered remotely. Before leaving the house, the camera can be used to check the weather.
