Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro Renders Show a Gigantic Rear Camera Unit With Notchless Display [Images]

People have been waiting for the Ultra model of the Xiaomi 12 series since it was released in China. However, it appears that the Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro will be the name of the smartphone.

Technizo Concept, a graphic designer known as Parvez Khan, has teamed up with LetsGoDigital to create a set of product renders for the future flagship model. Based on prior leaks, this is how it will look.

Display & Design

The most recent concept renders are based on previous smartphone leaks such as the case cover, dummy, and specifications. The device will have a full-screen circular display with symmetrical edges, according to the renders. The phone will also have a 48MP camera hidden beneath the display and no screen cuts.

The Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro is said to include a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a WQHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is expected to have a peak brightness of 1500 nits and will support HDR10 and Dolby Vision. An in-display fingerprint sensor is anticipated to be included with the device.

Camera

The Mix 5 Pro will very certainly come with an under-display selfie camera, while the exact specifications are unknown.

A camera module will cover almost a third of the back panel on the back. A round-shaped module with a wide rectangular bump at the base is used in the camera unit.

The rear camera unit is rumoured to include a quad-camera configuration with the main sensor in the centre. According to other speculations, the Mix 5 Pro will come with a 50MP Samsung ISOCell GN5 wide-angle camera. According to earlier reports, the smartphone would sport an OIS-ready 50MP primary camera with a resolution of 8192 x 6144 pixels, and will be a Sony IMX766 or IMX707.

A 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 48MP periscopic telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom are believed to be included in the camera unit.

The camera in the upper centre of the image is currently unknown, however it is thought to be a second zoom lens or a monochrome camera.

The Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro also has a triple LED flash and a dTOF laser focusing system, though the function of the square-shaped sensor in the top-right corner is still unknown.

Previous reports revealed the Leica branding on the top left corner, making the Xiaomi Mix 5 and Mix 5 Pro the first smartphones to have a Leica camera.

Leica is a German company that provided cameras for Huawei smartphones until the two companies parted ways last year. Xiaomi is rumoured to have teamed up with Leica for next flagship smartphone cameras.

Other Specifications

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is slated to power the Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro, which will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone is also believed to come with a Surge C2 Image Signal Processor (ISP), a 5000mAh battery, and Xiaomi’s new 200W HyperCharge fast-charging technology.

The Mix 5 Pro is yet to be formally launched by Xiaomi. In March 2022, the business is scheduled to release the Mix 5 Pro with the Mix 5.
